April is National Parkinson’s Awareness Month. An estimated one million in the United States live with Parkinson’s Disease; the second-most common neuro-degenerative disease after Alzheimer’s.
Legacy at Maiden Park will host a Lunch and Learn about Parkinson’s Disease on Wednesday, April 17 from 12:00pm–1:00pm. Nancy Nealon, MSW of the Parkinson’s Foundation, will provide an overview and answer questions about the disease, discuss how to recognize symptoms, evaluate treatment options and access available resources.
